| It was our sixth year at the Guildhall, Abingdon and we are pleased to report a good entry of 73 cats. In addition to Russian Blues we had Russian Blacks, Whites, Snowshoes and of course our wonderful Household Pets. We are very pleased to report some international visitors, from Holland, Belgium, Austria and even some breeders all the way from Perth and Adelaide, Australia! Which just proves what an internationally popular breed our beautiful Russians really are. |
| Marlene Buckeridge was once again our very able Show Manager, with Dot Thomson her willing Assistant. Mike Buckeridge did his sterling work on the door and Bob and Keith Thomson helped very ably this year (as every year) too. We decided to mark our Silver Anniversary with silver ribbons galore and new silver drapes for our Best in Show pens, spot prizes and a prize for the person with the best silver outfit which was won by Freyja Hayward – she was easily the runaway winner, Judith managed to deck her out in silver from top to toe! |

I was lucky enough to be able to steward for Anne Murray-Brooks, we had a lovely morning handling some very beautiful Household Pets, some of which we would happily pop in our pockets and take home, thank you to Marlene and Dot for asking me to do this. |
| Naturally, we hope that our show will get bigger and better every year and in addition to our larger entry we had a very good gate, which was good news for our raffle run by Peter Robinson and Chris Stimson, and judging by the smiles on their faces, we can assume that the other stall holders had a positive day, it seems it was certainly worth them getting up at the crack of dawn on an early autumn morning. |

We also have a demonstration of what a judge looks for in a Russian Blue, Kate Kaye undertook this once again and it seems very popular with the exhibitors. The area around the pen is always busy with people looking to see what makes a good show quality Russian Blue. |
| There are so many people to thank for their support and commitment to the show we can’t hope to name them all here. We are very grateful to them however and you all know who you are. |

We were very pleased to say that the day went, largely, without a hitch and we were even able to close the show a little early. Planning is obviously already underway for next year, so pop it in your diaries now – Saturday 1st October 2011.
